interview process

Our interview process is transparent, respectful, and tailored to help us learn about your skills while giving you insight into our company culture:

Application review

After your submit your application, our recruiting team will review your profile and determine whether or not to invite you to an initial screen.

Initial screening

If you've been invited to an initial screen, you'll have a 30 min conversation with our recruiter to share more about the role and to discuss your experience. We'll also answer any questions you have about the role and about what makes Dscout such a special place to work.

Team interviews

Congrats! You've been invited to meet the team. In this virtual interview, you'll connect with the hiring manager and team members to explore your experience and fit. You may also complete a brief exercise to showcase your skills in a practical, real-world context beyond the traditional interview.

Decision and next steps

After your interviews, we'll thoughtfully review everything you've shared—considering your experience and potential impact. If you're selected, our recruiting team will extend a formal offer and walk you through next steps. If not, we'll personally follow up to share the outcome and thank you for your time.

Recently, this included a research project to inform changes around how we capture gender-identity in the participant profile of our app. This work involved almost every department, so it felt like a true team effort.

Dscout hosts monthly ‘Tuesday Teas’ where a teammate leads a discussion about a topic they are passionate about. Last month an engineer led a talk on the French Revolution, and earlier a lead researcher spoke about brewing beer... It's a fun way to learn about our peers and about something we may have never thought to learn more about!
